Being Neighbourly is led by Fiona Haywood - a person who cares deeply about our community. Fiona is focused on making sure we deliver practical, reliable support to those who need it most, while continuing to grow and strengthen our impact locally.

Being Neighbourly believes that collaboration is the foundation of a strong and caring community. Our fantastic volunteers are at the heart of everything we do, generously giving their time, compassion and local knowledge to support our neighbours. Working alongside other local community organisations and statutory services, we create a sustainable and resilient network of support where people can flourish, build confidence and feel connected. Together, we are committed to reducing isolation and loneliness, supporting mental health, and ensuring that practical help is available when it is needed most. This shared commitment reflects our ethos and our motto:

Being Neighbourly, Working Together, Keeping it Local.
