Being Neighbourly is delighted to introduce Bertie, our trishaw — an electric-assisted bike designed to carry two passengers comfortably at the front, helping neighbours who may not otherwise get out enjoy fresh air, connection, and the local community.
Bertie offers a wonderful opportunity for people to get out into the fresh air, enjoy the beauty of the local countryside, and experience the simple joy of the wind in their hair.
Each ride is led by a trained volunteer, creating a warm and engaging experience where conversation flows easily and meaningful connections are made. For many, these outings can spark happy memories, lift spirits, and provide a truly social and therapeutic boost.
Bertie is especially valuable for those who may not otherwise have the opportunity to get out and about, helping to bring moments of freedom, enjoyment, and connection back into everyday life.
