Being Neighbourly is an East Grinstead based charity, but we also support the wider local community. In addition we cover Ashurst Wood, Crawley Down and Copthorne, as well as smaller areas in between.
East Grinstead & Surrounding areas
Being Neighbourly is based in East Grinstead, and that’s where most of our support takes place. But our reach goes beyond the town itself.
We also support Neighbours in Ashurst Wood, Crawley Down and Copthorne, along with the smaller villages and communities in between. Our focus is simple—helping people feel less alone, wherever they are within our local area.
Because our work is delivered by local volunteers, we aim to keep our support close to home. This means we can respond quickly, build real relationships, and offer help that feels personal and consistent.
Support in your area
The type of support we offer is the same across all the areas we cover. This might include:
- A friendly visit or regular check-in
- Help with errands like shopping or collecting prescriptions
- Support getting to appointments or local activities
- Opportunities to connect with others through community events
We don’t believe support should be complicated. If someone needs a bit of help, we do our best to make it happen.
